Five years, in plain words
I give a five-year genetic health guarantee. That is pretty much unheard of.
I DNA test every adult for genetic defects they can pass on. A clear test on the parents lowers the risk. It is not a promise that a kitten will never develop a genetic problem. I will not tell you no kitten of mine can. That is why the guarantee exists.
Some kittens come from partner breeders. They get the same five-year guarantee I put on the kittens I raise.

What I replace
If your kitten dies within those five years from a genetic defect that came from a parent, I replace the kitten.
If a vet finds a life-threatening genetic disease of those same kinds, and puts that in writing, I also replace the kitten. You pay for that visit.
The genetic problems I cover are life-threatening disease of the kidney, the heart, the pancreas, the spine, or the liver.

What I do not cover
I do not cover everyday bugs. That means parasites like coccidia, demodex, and giardia. It also means fungal or bacterial infections, and respiratory infections, including the common ones.
I do not cover eye problems like cherry eye, entropion, or ectropion. I do not cover allergies, hernias, or fertility. I do not cover zoonotic disease. That is illness that can move between animals and people.

If you do not know why they died
If the cause of death is unknown and you want a replacement, I need an autopsy. You pay for that. I need the cause in writing.
I will not replace a kitten if the death came from neglect. I will not replace a kitten if it was not a genetic defect from a parent.

Vet bills, and putting them under
If the disease is genetic and life-threatening, I need a written statement from your vet. You pay for that visit. I do not pay the vet bills used to find out what is wrong.
I am not responsible if your kitten is put under for surgery or any other reason and dies.
